There's something here

There's something here

We live and work in a place that’s changing fast. In the middle of that momentum, we see things others miss- underutilized land, community needs hiding in plain sight, missed connections between policy and possibility.

Rhize exists to help people recognize what’s already there, position it wisely, and shape what’s next with care and clarity.

Core Contributors

  • Lead Strategist

Hannah Greening is an urban strategist and founder of multiple ventures focused on people-centered development. She leads Fancy Real Estate, a commercial brokerage rooted in relationships, analysis, and long-term value, and she directs the vision for Godfrey Hollow, a cultural district reclaiming industrial space as creative commons. Her work spans pre-development strategy, municipal alignment, tenant strategy, and narrative design- helping public and private partners bring meaningful projects to life.

She also runs a small hobby farm, where she draws insight from the natural world and applies it to the way cities function as living, breathing ecosystems that thrive when shaped with care, connection, and intentional evolution.

  • Consultant

A former Corridor Manager with the City of Grand Rapids, she has a deep understanding of how design thinking and local policy intersect with the real needs of neighborhoods and small businesses.

She’s a natural connector who thrives on building relationships, bridging sectors, and sparking ideas that drive inclusive growth. Outside of work, Danielle lends her time to the Women’s Resource Center and loves live music, hosting friends, and the occasional crime drama binge.
